 Juan Dino Toledo has released his first  world music solo acoustic album on CD Baby and all the major platforms online titled "Samsara".  It covers a wide range of styles and rhythms from flamenco, latin music middle eastern sounds with classic rock sensibility.. He collaborated with singers and sisters Lorena Pualuan and Jeannette Pualuan on a couple of tracks and with  Rani for ambience vocals, Daniel Rios played flute and D'Arcy McGuire played bass. Santerias​

This Toronto group, brings each member’s diverse
musical background to the forefront of their sound,
to expose a funky and energetic fusion called
RUMBAFUNK. Some songs bring in Latin rhythms while some embrace a Brazilian Tropicália sensibility. The lineup includes Ana Lía Arias Garrido on lead vocals; Juan Dino Toledo on guitar and backing vocals; Oriana Barbato on bass and backing vocals; and guest Randolf Jimenez on drums and backing vocals.
Santerias released a new album "Hurricane" in 2018, a new single and video”, which puts their new Rumbafunk sound to the forefront of their musical journey,  They have released 3 more albums  ‘Oye Mira’, ‘Bosketches’ and ‘Demonios’, a 2010 live CD Limited Edition.  Last year's single and video "Mundo Desigual", was well received by
the media and highly supported by CBC radio, Radio Canada, Toronto Sun and Telelatino. They have also
created videos with TMN (The Movie Network) and Bravo.

Oscillations

Minimalist acoustic and electric improvisational soundscapes with Andean music vibes and experimental and psychedelic overtones.
They have released two albums, Volume1 and Volume 2 and are working on an Andean Music album. Fusing electronic landscape music.
They have a new single titled "Chuño" on bandcamp. You can also find their music on  Apple Music, Spotify and all the other online platforms.
Juan Dino Toledo Flamenco Collaborations

I have performed with Carmen Romero  and Domingo Ortega at the Carmen Complex show in 2003 and various shows and tours. I was also part of the Miguel de la Bastide flamenco music group.
I was a regular performer at the Embrujo Flamenco and Plaza Flamingo  wine and tapas bar since 2003 till 2013. Where I accompanied all the local flamenco dancers in Toronto such as:
Ilse Gudiño, Angela Deiseach, Lisa Lamantia, Renata Palmo, Marilyn Preston, etc and played for Maria Serrano, la Tati, Zingara Garcia, at Tapas at Embrujo from 2013 to 2019.
I performed with Carmen Romero dance group at the Toronto Flamenco Festival in 2009  with Rie Ishizuka in 2014 and Irina Gordon.
I also performed at the Flamenco Tablao at the Supermarket with Angela Deiseach, Zingari Garcia and Kiyo Asaoka in 2019.

Juan Dino Toledo  aka Tolex

Prior to flamenco and world music , Juan Dino Toledo was known as Tolex, a rock musician and was playing in  the Toronto rock scene in such bands as 'The Temple", an alternative rock band and "Dreadvice" an industrial metal band. He was known for his use of effects, atmopshperic and layers of sounds. After his collaborations with Nano Valverde's electric improvisational soundscapes. Juan Dino Toledo/ Tolex, learned a new vocabulary of sounds where he used in his new compositions fusing rock,punk rock, goth, minimalist experimental soundscapes and space atmospheric ambience sounds with a rock and energetic driven beats. He started making his own experimental videos using his phone camera as a vehicle to his compositions, like soundtracks to his videos. After recording in his home studio an extensive body of work of at least 20 tracks, he has decided to release these tracks on an album titlled "Pierce the Vortex", to be released this year.

Solazul

It's a Drum & Bass collaboration with Djs Vsionary (Marcus and David), bass player/producer D'Arcy MCGuire and vocalist Ruby Kerekes. They released 3 albums through "Nice & Smooth" Records. Their single Encanto was used in TV commercials. The music is a fusion of world music, jazz and drum and bass. You can find their albums on Apple Music, Spotify and the other platforms online.


Temple of the phoenix

Out of the the ashes of the Temple rises Temple of the Phoenix, a rock band with Rock ID  vocalist/drummer from Asian Dub Foundation and Speed Caravan and Juan Dino Toledo aka Tolex. Together they embarked on this musical journey of heavy rock with psychedelia sounds. They just recorded a full album produced by Rush's producer Terry Brown. Their first single Pretty Baby will be released April 21with a second single release in May and the fulll album will be released in the summer with live shows to follow.
